Sarah Hart was born in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts.1 She was the daughter of Jonathan Hart and Lydia Neale.1 She married first Joseph Balch, son of Benjamin Balch and Elizabeth Woodbury, intentions published on 21 March 1697/98.1 She married second William Mellowes of Scituate, on 25 December 1716.1 She married third Deacon Samuel Stodder on 27 September 1749.1 She died before 1762 when her third husband died leaving a widow Elizabeth.1
Sarah and Joseph Balch deeded all interest in the estate of her grandfather John Neale to her brother Jonathan Hart in April 1712.1
