263. EPHRAIM WHEELEB, son of David (166) and Sarah (Merriam) Wheeler. Bom at Concord, Mass., Dec. 11, 1734, and died there Sept. 25, 1809.

Married at Concord, Mass., Nov. 27, 1766, Sarah Heywood, who was bom Oct. 18, 1745; died Nov. 16, 1837, dan. of Jonathan Heywood and Sarah (Stone) Heywood.

After his death she married as 3d wife, June 13, 1811, William Parkman, whose daughter Sarah had married Ephraim Wheeler, No. 432.

He made an excellent military record during the Bevolutionary War. In Feb- ruary, 1776, he was in the fight at Northbridge, Concori He was commissioned first Lieut, in Capt Thomas Hubbard's Co., Col. Ed- gar Brooks' Begt. of Militia. He was in the battles of Dorcheste Heights and White Plains. He became lieut. in Col. Nixon's Regt. in the Continental Army in Jan., 1777, being honorably dischar^d Dec. 22, 1777. In 1780, his name stands as firat Lieut, in the Foi^h Co., 3rd Regt., Mass. MiUtia.
