When she was 21 years old, in about 1705, Sarah married John Lacey, a neighboring Sussex County planter. They had two children: Robert Jr., and Elizabeth. Then Robert died in about 1708, leaving Sarah a young (age 24) widow with two small children to raise. In 1709, she married another neighbor planter, Robert Prettyman. Robert owned land on Swan Creek in Indian River Hundred, Sussex County, Delaware. Robert and Sarah had the following 5 children together:<ref>Rankins/Mikesell Tree - Robert Prettyman</ref># William Burton Prettyman b: 1710 in Indian River Hundred, Sussex County, Delaware # Catherine Prettyman b: About 1712 in Indian River Hundred, Sussex Co., Delaware # Sarah Prettyman b: About 1715 in Indian River Hundred, Sussex Co., Delaware # Ann Prettyman b: 3 May 1719 in Indian River Hundred, Sussex Co., Delaware # Robert Prettyman b: July 1721 in Indian River Hundred, Sussex Co., Delaware Robert Prettyman died leaving a will dated 13 July 1721 proved 1 Aug 1721.<ref> Colonial Families of Delaware, v 3, 2nd ed., p154.</ref> Sarah survived him and she re-married a 3rd time to Judge Anderson Parker in 1730-31. He was a recent widower (1730) with 7 children ranging from 8 to 27 years old.<ref>Leeds Family Tree - Sarah Burton; See also: Lawrence Hazzard family - Anderson Sr. Parker</ref> Family genealogist, D. Mitchell Jones, says:<ref>The paragraph quoted here was on Mitch Jones' web site. Always very generous with his research, he allowed other family genealogists to copy his work freely. This is fortunate because, 8 years after his death in 2006, his family took his web site off-line, so his research became unavailable as of May 2014. His words are cited verbatim, including his footnotes [in brackets] on: Rankins/Mikesell Tree - Robert Prettyman</ref> : "On 13 May 1728, Robert Lacey received his share of the estate of his father, John Lacey, from his mother, Sarah Prettyman. [226] On 25 Feb 1729, Elizabeth Lacey received her share of the estate of her father, John Lacey, from her mother, Sarah Prettyman. [226]" These bequests were most-likely made when the children turned 21 yearsold (if this is true, then Robert was born in 1707 and Elizabeth in 1708, dates which fit Sarah's timeline). After her 3rd marriage, Sarah (Burton) Parker moved to her husband's estate at Tower Hill, Lewes & Rehoboth Hundred, Delaware. He was a judge in Lewes and also served in colonial Delaware's General Assembly. She died in 1759 at Tower Hill and Judge Parker died there the following year (1760).<ref>Lawrence Hazzard family - Anderson Sr. Parker</ref>
