- Trial/Conviction
- Dr Denise Lourens, the forensic pathologist on the case, testified that she died of a stab wound that sliced through her carotid artery.
- An extract from the court hearing, as testified by Dr Lourens - "Bruises to the back of Sasha-Leigh's scalp and bleeding under the lining of the brain showed "blunt force" had been applied to the child's head. She could have been kicked, hit with a brick or cricket bat, or had her head smashed against a wall. The index of suspicion for throttling/strangulation is very high, but due to the animal activity, all the potential evidence has been lost. Sasha-Leigh had been alive when the head bruising and apparent throttling took place."
- At the end of August 2005, Isaacs appeared in the Cape High Court before Acting Judge Tandiswa Ndita, who handed down a life sentence. The judge found Isaacs not guilty on the charge of rape.
- At the end of May 2010, Isaacs appealed against the conviction. It was dismissed in the Supreme Court of Appeal by Judge Mohammed Navsa.
