Sergearnt John Chadwick of Bradford

(I) Sergeant John Chadwick, born about 1650, may have been a son of Charles Chadwick, of Watertown. He was an active and prominent citizen of Boxford, Massachusetts, where he served as selectman, and died September 2, 1707. He was buried in Bradford, where his gravestone is still found. There is no record of his children in Boxford, but some of them are known to have lived in that town or Bradford, namely : John, Abigail, Eunice, Sarah, Edmund and Jonathan.

Charles Chadwick left no children, but in his will speaks of his “kinsmen John and Thomas Chadwick.”[1]
