He was not listed with parent's on the 1810 Wallkill, Orange, N.Y. Census, which was recorded sometime after Oct. in 1810. His parents had moved to Cayuta Twp. Tioga Co. in early 1811. So, Abraham was either born when in route to Cayuta Twp., or in Cayuta. The 1850 Census places his birth sometime between 9 Oct.1810 and 9 Oct.1811.
Description: from Lansing Twp.
Abraham and Mary moved here with his father in about 1837/8. They sold two sections of their land in Lansing,Tompkins, New York prior to 1838 to Abraham Wood, one parcel consisting of 43 Acres and the other was 32 Acres both in section 64 of Lansing Twp. Later on in 1841 while living in , Kane, Illinois they sold the remainder of their property consisting of 80 Acres of section 64 of Lansing Twp. to Amasa Wood. This making a total of their property in Lansing Twp. about 155 Acres in all. Abraham had settled on a farm near his father Ezekiel in Kane Co., Ill.
