Shaun Wilshire (1973 - 2003)

Brief overview:

Shaun (30), was shot in the head in the driveway of his parents home in Langenhoven Street, Parkrand, Boksburg, on 23rd September 2003.

Shaun's father, Nigel, and mother Denise, heard gunfire outside their house at around 19h15. They rushed outside and saw Shaun's car in the driveway in from of the gate, with the drivers door still open. Nigel saw a man lying in the drainage ditch near Shaun's vehicle, and Shaun lying about 5 metres further up on the pavement. "It looks like he ran away from his attackers because he was shot in the back of the head. Shaun's firearm was later found under the body of one of the robbers Shaun managed to shoot", said Nigel.

Shaun was an analytical pharmacist at Eskom, and was due to leave for Canada in a few weeks time to work on projects for the cleaning of power stations.
