"Scholarships for 107 midyear Philadelphia senior high school graduates have been recommended to the Board of Education. The awards, including 66 four-year college scholarships, will be acted on by the board at its regular meeting Tuesday.
"The college scholarships are valued at $400 each a year and cover courses at Temple, University of Pennsylvania, Drexel, Ursinus, PSU, Lock Haven State Teachers College and other institutions.
