Michigan native born to Michigan natives married to a Michigan native. But that's where it stops. I have deep ties to colonial America but also some very, very shallow ones. My grandfather immigrated here from Scotland with his parents in the 1920s. On the other side, I have a great grandfather who immigrated here from Germany. My genetic tests show I am about half British, 32% Swiss/Germanic, 12% Scandinavian, and the rest unknown. I recently learned that part of that unknown is Native American (a story my Great Grandfather also apparently told) via those aforementioned links in Colonial roots.

I am also a wife and a mom. Those roots can be seen in my tree as well as this project was started for my son.
