Sherry Lynn Anderson, 55, of St. Michael, ND, our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friends journeyed to the Spirit World on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND surrounded by loving family and friends.

A Wake will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Recreation Center. The procession to St. Michael will leave on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. from Wal-Mart. Mass of Christian Burial for Sherry will be on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Fr. Brian Moen celebrating the Mass. Sherry will be laid to rest in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery.

Serving as Casket Bearers for Sherry will be Scott Bull, Isaiah Strouse, Lenny RedTomahawk, Kendall Christianson, Bobby Skaro, John "Buck" Waanatan, Titus Anderson, Mike Adams, Brent Putnam, Reeba Hegg-Mack, James Robertson Jr. and Pete Dauphinais.

Sherry Lynn was born on June 28, 1955 in Devils Lake to John and Delores (Hedine) Anderson. She attended school at Little Flower in St. Michael and at Central High School in Devils Lake. She worked at Lake Region Lutheran Home, Sioux Manufacturing and then at the Spirit Lake Casino until complications of diabetes forced her to retire.

Sherry loved to cook and share her delicious food with her family and friends. She never missed a chance to go on an outing with her family to play Bingo. When she was home, she liked to watch game shows on TV. Sherry adored her family and they were the most important thing in the world to her. Her greatest joy came from being with her grandchildren.

Sherry is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Anthony) Hopkins and Rainie(Shawn) Anderson; son, Darren Strouse; grandchildren, Isaiah Strouse, Jaeleigh Strouse, Jaidlynn Anderson and Jazzlyn Strouse; brothers, John (Lila) Anderson Jr. , Chris (Carol) Anderson and Blaine Anderson; sisters, Patricia Anderson, Sharon Gatlin, Melody (John) Christianson, Debra (Billy) Cavanaugh, Loreen "Wigs" Anderson, Rena (Bob) Skaro and Cheryll Fox; special uncle, Verol Greywater and uncles, Eugene Hedine and Ivan BlackCloud; aunts, Julie Risovi and Gloria Hedine; grandmothers, Pauline Greywater, Delemma Greywater; godchildren, Trent Anderson, John Waanatan, Scott Bull and Nakia Hill; many many nieces, nephews and cousins;

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Sydney Lovejoy; sister, Tracy Anderson; nephews, and her godchild, Chris Cavanaugh and Little Larry Schweitzer; nieces, Heidi Jo Anderson, Aimee Anderson, the Aguilar twins and Baby Melody Anderson; aunties, Elizabeth Graywater, Mary Adams, Irene Mercer, Adeline Larson, Mary Louise Simonson, Irene Bellile, Clara Feather and Catherine Belgarde; grandparents, Rose Jolson and Louise and Hank Anderson; cousins, Pam Greywater and Devlin Greywater.

A special thank you to her niece, Reeba-Hegg Mack for all she has done for Sherry; Also a special thank you to Fr. Edward Sherman, Tony and Vina McDonald, Dr. Evangeline Gade, IHS, the Tribal Council and the Dialysis Staff at Devils Lake and Grand Forks for all of your care and assistance.
