     A reference to Amos Rose and Mourning Evans as parents of Sherwood Calvin 

     Rose, who was born 7 July 1818 in Nash Co., NC, died 1 March 1881, married 

     1. Lydia Wilson (d. 1850s) and 2. Sarah Ardella Goff. Sherwood and Sarah 

     are both buried in Pisgah cemetery Richland Co. Children by both wives. 

     One son was by 2nd wife was the Sherwood Calvin Rose buried at Flint Hill 

     church: born 1854 Richland Co., had 3 wives.
