There has been a brick wall in the person of Sidney Hannah. The other variances being: Sydney Hannah, Sidney Kackesmer, Sidney Herkimmer, Cidney Herksinerr, Sidney Herkimsiner, Hannah Sidney, Sidney Herkishuner, Sidney Herkishmer, Sydney Herkimer. Also looking at her marriage information her name was listed as Sidney Hannah. Now also listed was her birthplace as Delaware. However, when I did the Google search for Sidney and Herkimer, I came back with a hit on General Herkimer and the town of Sidney in Delaware county New York. This just seemed to close for just a coincidence. A chill went along the back of my neck. Although it states that General Herkimer had no children, his brothers did. I will continue to pursue this line of enquiry. I also found a Hergesheimer who was in the same area in the 1820 census.
