About Sidney S. Lemos
Born in Los Angeles, CA on Aug. 16, 1892, the son of artists Mabel and William Lemos. The younger Lemos studied for five years at the San Francisco Institute of Art and received a teacher's certificate in 1912. Following service in WWI, he returned to Santa Cruz, CA where his family had a home at 64 Pearl Street. During the 1930s he lived in Alameda. He died in Napa, CA on June 4, 1944. Exh: Oakland Art Gallery, 1932, 1937.
