Sidney Matthews

Sidney "Rock" Matthews was a member of the Southern University Police Department for 32 years. He was an avid golfer, sports enthusiast and wearer of fine men's clothing. He liked to fish and enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He had the unfortunate habit of smoking and drinking lots of coffee, but was otherwise healthy and in good spirits until he developed pancreatic cancer. He succumbed to the disease on Christmas Day of 1999. He is missed.
