Listed by George Lincoln for the Peck family history in the History of Hingham as being son of Joseph and Rebecca Clark Peck (according to WFT), but Ira Peck lists him as parents unknown:
He is NOT son of Joseph Peck b 1587 in Beccles, England. He is not listed as such in the Peck Genealogy but more importantly, he is NOT listed as a child in the Will of Joseph Peck. He is noted on pg 266 of the Genealogy; no place of birth or date of birth are listed for him.

- d. 16 Apr 1659 in Hingham.
- Simon married second to Prudence Clapp, dau. of Edward and Purdence Clapp of Dorchester, on 13 Feb 1659/60.
- She was born 28 Dec 1637 in Dorchester.
The family moved to Dorchester after 1671. Simon and Hannah had one son (who died young), and Simon and Prudence had eight children.

The Hingham and Other Pecks:
There were several bearing the surname of Peck who early emigrated from Old to New England and became progenitors, and died, leaving descendants. Some of these remained in Boston, while others settled in its vicinity or removed to Connecticut. Mr. Savage says... there was also a (7) Simon Peck in Hingham, in 1657, who Mr. Savage says married Hannah Farnsworth. She d. April 16, 1659. He afterwards married Prudence Clap of Dorchester, Feb. 13, 1660, daughter of Edward Clap. By Mr. Hobart's Journal, it appears that his children were a daughter. b. Dec. 25, 1660.
