Sir Alexander Burnett, 2nd Baronet Burnett of Leys

biographical summary

"Sir Alexander Burnett, Baronet [S 1626] of Leys, grandson and heir, being son and heir of Alexander Burnett, by Jane (married 1633), daughter of Sir Robert Arbuthnott, of Arbuthnott, which Alexander was succeeded and heir apparent of the 1st Baronet, by his 1st wife, but died v.p. He succeeded o the Baronetcy in 1653. He married Elizabeth, daughter of (--) Coutts of Auchtercoull. He died 1663. His widow married Sir David Ramsay, 2nd Baronet [S 1625] of Balmain, who died 1673."
