Sir William Drum was born circa 1317.[1] He was the son of William de Irwyn, 1st of Drum.[2] He married unknown daughter Montford, daughter of Sir Thomas Montford of Lonmay.[1] He died circa 1390.[1]
He was also known as Sir Thomas de Irwyne.[1] He appears among the list of Barons in the reign of David I.[1] He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Scotland] in 1369. held at Perth.[1]
