Biographical Summary
"Sir Dugald Campbell, Baronet [S 1628] of Auchinbreck, son and heir by second wife; succeeded to the Baronetcy in 1645, as also to the command of his father's regiment in Ireland, receiving 10,000 merks in recognition of his late father's service. He, however, resigned his command and declared for the King. He was M.P. [S] for Argyllshire, 1649. He died unmarried soon after the Restoration."
