Sir Edward Barkham, 1st Bt. was born on 20 March 1630/31.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Barkham and Mary Wilcox.1 He was baptised on 24 March 1630/31 at St. Batholomew's-the-Great, London, England.1 He married Anne Lee, daughter of Sir Robert Lee and Frances Cope, after September 1656.1 He died on 14 September 1669 at age 38.1 He was buried at Wainflete St. Mary, Lincolnshire, England.1

Sir Edward Barkham, 1st Bt. was created 1st Baronet Barkham, of Waynflete, co. Lincoln [England] on 21 July 1661.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Lincolnshire from 1664 to 1665.1
