Biographical Summary
"II. Sir Ewen Cameron, created a Baronet, as already stated, in 1817. He resided at Inverscadale House, since the property of Maclean of Ardgour. He married Lucy, daughter of Duncan Campbell of Barcaldine and Glenure, with issue:
- John, a colonel in the army, born at Inverscadale on the 16th of August, 1771; killed at Quatre Bras, and of whom presently.
- Duncan, afterwards Sir Duncan Cameron, Baronet
- Peter, commander of the East Indiaman " Balcarras," H.E.I.C.S., who died unmarried.
- Mary, who married her cousin, Alexander Macdonald of Glencoe, with issue John, and others.
- Jean, who, in 1787, married Roderick MacNeil of Barra, with issue
- Roderick, a general in the army and colonel of the 78th Highlanders, who married, in 1818 Isabella, daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Brownlow of Lurgan, County of Armagh, and sister of the first Baron Lurgan, with issue a daughter, Caroline, who married an officer in the 78th Highlanders.

Henry Addington Howton, Grange, Bedfordshire ; (e) Caroline, who married George Dartmouth Fitzroy, late captain, Royal Navy, with issue two sons and three daughters Ewen, Symon, Emily, Georgina, and Margaret ; (f) Catherine, unmarried ; (g) Lucy, who married Edward Fitzroy, major, Royal Artillery, a brother of her eldest sister's husband, with issue a daughter, Eva.
Colonel John Cameron having died before his father, Sir Ewen (who died in 1828) was succeeded in the Baronetcy by his second son."
