Biographical Summary

"Sir Francis George Thurlow Cunynghame, Baronet [S. 1702], 3d but 1st surv. s. and h., b. 19 April 1835; suc. to the Baronetcy, 21 Oct. 1877; was Major 3d battalion Midx. reg. militia, 1879-84, and subsequently 5th battalion Rifle Brigade militia, resigning in 1888. He in. firstly, 15 July 1863, Jessica, 1st da. of the Rev. William Henry Bloxsome, Rector of Stanton, co. Gloucester. She d. 13 April 1884, at Dursley, co. Gloucester, the residence of her mother. He m. secondly, 9 March 1886, Elizabeth Anne, widow of J. F. Walton, 1st da. of William Yeo, of Appledore, Devon. He d. 12 Nov. 1900, at 14 Alfred Place West, South Kensington, aged 65. Will pr. at £10,195. His widow living 1904."
