Sir John Preston of Airdrie, 3rd Baronet

Biographical Summary

"Sir John Preston, Baronet [S 1628] of Airdrie, son and heir; succeeded to the Baronetcy, 10 June 1660, and had special service to his father, 3 March 1663, in the Barony of Airdrie, etc. That estate, however, he sold in 1673. He married 20 November 1670, Jean, 1st daughter of Sir James Lumsden of Innergallie, co Fife, with 12,000 merks as her tocher. He died March 1675."
