Biographical Summary
"Sir John Warrender Dalrymple, Baronet [S 1698] of North Berwick, brother and heir, born 7 May 1824; entered, in 1842, the Bengal Civil Service, becoming, 1856-60, Civil and Sessions Judge at Hooghly, but retiring in 1872; succeeded to the Baronetcy, 27 April 1887. He married 7 June 1847, at St George's Hanover Square, Sophia, younger daughter of James Pattle, senior member of the service abovenamed. He died 28 December 1888, at the Lodge, North Berwick, and was buried at North Berwick, aged 64. His widow living 1904."
