Descended from Ogerus de Pugeys, born in 1030, in Normandy, France:

"Ogerus de PUGEYS was a Companion to William, the Conqueror, at the Battle

of Hastings, in 1066. His descendents assumed the surname of BEDINGFIELD from

the Estate and Manor they were given after the Invasion."
