About Sir Thomas Gresley, 4th Baronet Gresley of Drakelow

From the book, "Baronetage of England, printed for John Stockdale, published in 1806: Sir William, 3rd Baronet Gresley, married Barbara, the daughter of John Wolcot, Esq., and they had two sons, Thomas and William, and a daughter Bridget. William died as an infant, and Thomas succeeded his father. Sir William died 17 Oct. 1711

Sir Thomas, who succeeded his father on 17 Oct. 1711, married, first, in 1719, Dorothy, the daughter and co-heir of Sir William Bowyer, Baronet, by whom he had seven sons and three daughters. All the children except Thomas and Nigel died young. Sir Thomas married, secondly, Gertrude, the daughter and co-heir of John Grammar, Esq., and they had a son Geoffrey and a daughter Gertrude. He was succeeded by his eldest surviving son, Thomas.

Sir Thomas Gresley, 4th Bt. married Dorothy Bowyer, daughter of Sir William Bowyer, 4th Bt. and Anne Dale, on 5 April 1719.1 Sir Thomas Gresley, 4th Bt. gained the title of 4th Baronet Gresley.
