Sir William Liston Foulis of Woodhall, 8th Baronet Foulis, of Colinton

Biographical Summary

"Sir William Foulis, afterwards Liston-Foulis, Baronet [S 1634] of Woodhall, son and heir, born 27 July 1812, at Shenstone, co. Stafford; succeeded to the Baronetcy 22 May 1842. Me married firstly 20 June 1843, Henrietta Ramage Liston, of Millburn Tower, co. Edinburgh, spinster, 1st daughter of Ramage Liston, Capt. R.N., great niece and testamentary heir of the Right Hon. Sir Robert Liston G.C.B. He thereupon assumed the name Liston before that of Foulis. She died 1850. He married secondly 7 April 1852, Mary Anne, 1st daughter of Robert Cadell of Ratho. He died 22 February 1858. His widow living 1901, at Edinburgh."
