Death of Sivathasan(M.P) Sangarapillai at Kollankaladdy
Kollankaladdy, TELLIPPALAI, JAFFNA, NORTHERN PROVINCE, Šrilanka (Sri Lanka)
wonder whether you have heard of this ex-EPDP MP.
I too had never met him although he comes from Kollankaladdy, our neighbouring village.
He is a brother of Dr.Manikam (whom I had known) who passed away in UK in July, 2011.
Mr. Sivathasan was apparently a quiet politician, unlike most others. He had been in the Communist Party with
the well known N.Shanmugathasan but we had never heard of his name until recently. While he was an EDDP MP for Jaffna,
he is said to have helped the Keerimalai Naguleswara Temple obtain Govt. funds for some much needed repairs or maintenance.
His family members are also closely associated with this Temple and the Maviddapuram Kandasamy Temple for a long time.
