Rockingham Deeds Book 0109, page 0152 Know all men by these presents that we Charles Hilton, John Hilton, Benjamin Smart & Mary, the wife of said Benjamin Smart & Sobriety Sollice(Hilton?), all of New Market in the Province of New Hampshire in New England Labours(?) of --- Joseph Davies of Durham in said province, yeoman & Ann [Hilton] his wife. For in administrtation of the just sum of twenty five pounds in new tenor bills of public credit to us in hand paid before the delivery here of Jeremiah Folsom ju'r. of said New Market, Trader. Have given granted (etc. etc.) unto him the said Jeremiah Folsom jun'r. his heirs & assigns forever, one whole proprietors share or right in the town of Gilmanton in the said province lying between & bounded by Canterbury on the southwest, Barnstead on the southeast & Winnepijokie pond on the northeast cut of Merrimack river on the northwest the said right ...that belonged to our brothers Jonathan Hilton jun'r. ;ate of New Market deceased he the said Jonathan being one of the original proprietors of said town, to have and to hold...the said Jeremiah FOlsom jun'r..in fee simple, & we the said Charles, John, Benjamin, Mary, Sobriety, Joseph & Ann 5th of March 1749 signed Charles Hilton John Hilton Benjamin Smart Mary Smart Joseph Davies Ann Davies In presence of Saml Smith Theoder Wills John Moody Joseph Burleigh March the 8th 1749 Then received of Jeremiah Folsom jun'r aforesaid the consideration above mentioned by us Charles Hilton Province of New Hampshire, March 5th day 1749.
