Solomon Parks Jarrell was the son of Parks F. Jarrell and wife Jenny Jane Robinson. He also went by the name of Parks. He was born in 1840 in Kentucky. He married Mary Jane Woods, daughter of Nathaniel Woods and Delilah Boyd, on December 11, 1860 in Floyd County, Kentucky. He died before 1900, most likely in Floyd County, Kentucky, and was buried at Jarrell Family Cemetery, Sandy Hook, Elliott County, Kentucky.
