Sophrona Franklin

Sister to Henry D. Wise's wife Electa Fairbanks. Husband Nathan Franklin. Nine children - 2 died in infancy. Jefferson; George Perry; DeLauzern; Henry Harrison; Sarah Jane; Hanna M; Philip Bailey.

Fairbanks, Davisons, Outhoudts, Wises, Franklins: all ended up in Leon, New York and settled there for many years. Migrational move to Wisconsin came in about late 1830's and early 1840's. Another 10 to 20 years before the move into the frontier of Minnesota.

Families: some scattered in New York and also remained. This happened also in Wisconsin. Land grants from the government and to the men who served in various wars, obtained land in new areas. This resulted in southern Minnesota settlers to move on to the northern Minnesota, North and South Dakotas and Nebraska. It appears a few from Wisconsin related to our lines, also settled in Iowa and Illinois with a few in Missouri. It was the next generation which then headed to California, Oregon and points West.
