His last Will and Testament was signed 26 August 1817 and proved in Hopkins County, Kentucky Court at the April 1822 term. In his Will he named his wife Sarah and five children: sons Spill C. Brown Jr, Green Brown and Tut Brown; and daughters Elizabeth and Delphia Brown. "I give and bequeath to my two youngest sons Spill C. Brown Jr and Green Brown the plantation."
