STANLEY JAMES McDONALD, JR. Stanley James McDonald, Jr. was born to Evelyn and Stanley J. McDonald, Sr. on March 14, 1945, in Fresno, California, and died on Sunday, April 29, 2007. He graduated from Edison High School and Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was a Captain and helicopter pilot in the Special Forces Branch of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany and Vietnam. In 1971, after returning from Vietnam, Stanley began his teaching career as an instrumental music teacher at his alma mater, Edison High School. His career with Fresno Unified spanned 33 years as a teacher, Counselor, Vice Principal, and Principal. Stanley retired as the Associate Superintendent of Human Resources in March 2005. Preceding him in death are his parents and sister, Jessyca Douglas.
