About Stephen Michael Daddario
Stephen Michael Daddario passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at home. He was 64 years old.
Stephen was born in Boston, MA, in 1948 to Hon. Emilio Q. Daddario and Berenice Carbo Daddario. He attended the Maret School in Washington, D.C., graduating in 1968, before attending the University of Miami.
Married for several years to Ann Hurley, Stephen was father to his only son, Will Daddario, who now survives him along with his nephews Parker and Matthew, his nieces Susan, Sibyl, Alexandra, and Catharine, and his brothers Richard and Anthony.
Stephen spent most of his life in Washington, D.C., where he was an avid and tireless family historian, reader, writer, walker, and film and music buff. He was a loved member of his family and his Cleveland Park neighborhood, and a warm, kind, and generous friend to neighbors, local business people, and those who made his historic Kennedy-Warren address run. He also spent several years in Hartford, CT; Dallas,TX; and Swarthmore, PA.
There will be neither a funeral nor a public memorial. A marker with his name will be placed next to his parents' tomb in Middletown, CT. Donations are welcome in his name at one of the following two DC-based literacy organizations.
