Wedding.

SHADDICK—BIGGIN.

A very pretty wedding, also one of great interest, was solemnised at the Marwonga Baptist Church on Wednes-day, November 17th, at 5 p.m., the Rev. Frank Potter officiating, the contracting parties being Miss Katherine Mary Biggin, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Biggin. "Pleasant Banks," Pingelly, and Mr Stephen Parker Shaddick, third son of Mr and Mrs J. Shaddick, Mourambine. The church was prettily decorated by friends of the bride with white flowers and fern, an arch being formed with a large wedding bells suspended from same, with the initials of the bride and bridegroom on each side, Under this arch the happy couple stood. The service was choral. Miss C. Willmott presiding at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, who gave her away, looked very charming and sweet in her bridal dress of white satin-de-soi, the skirt being draped on the hips with panniers of white georgette trimmed with tiny seed crystal beads, which fell in dainty folds. The bodice was swathed with folds of white georgette, trimmed with the same beads, and relieved with real lace, giving a pinafore effect. The fashionable sleeve was worn, and trimmed with seed beads, the waist-line, being finished a with a spray of frosted silver leaves. The usual veil and coronet of orange blossoms was worn. A large shower bouquet of white carnations and roses, with trails of asparagus fern, completed her very charming toilette. She was attended by her sister (Miss C. Biggin), and Miss O. Fairhead as bridesmaids. The former looked very pretty in a dress of deep cream crepe de chine, the skirt being trimmed with, three large hem stitched tucks, the bodice being relieved with faint touches of saxe blue embroid ery and trimmed with tiny buttons. The smart ¾ sleeve was worn, and a large butterfly bow finished this pretty costume. She also wore a pretty elec-tric, blue hat of aeroplane style, with a silk straw crown of the same color and trimmed with tiny pink roses. Her bouquet was of pink, roses and carna-tions and asparagus fern. Miss O. Fair-head looked very dainty in a cream silk voile dress, the skirt and bodice being trimmed with tiny frills, the fashion-able round collar and short sleeves being worn, and the latter finished with a tiny frill. Her hat was of pink aero-plane, trimmed with kinsel braid and tiny pink rosebuds. She carried a bou-quet of pink carnations and roses and asparagus fern, which gave a very pretty effect to the costume. Mr N. Shaddick acted as best man, whilst the duties of groomsman were carried out by Mr H. Biggin. After the ceremony the guests ad-journed to the residence of the bride's parents, "Pleasant Banks," where the reception was held, Mr and Mrs Biggin receiving the guests, who then passed on to the breakfast room to partake of all the dainties of the breakfast table, and to offer their congratulations and good wishes to the bride and bridegroom. The tables were daintily decorated with flowers and fern, the large wedding cake being the centre of much admiration and attraction. When all the guests were seated, the usual toasts were hon-ored, the Rev. F. Potter first proposing the health of the King, which was drunk in silence, the National Anthem then being sung. Next he proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom, and spoke in glowing terms of their good qualities and of the esteem and respect by which they were held in the district. The bridegroom suitably re-sponded. Mr Potter then proposed the health of the bridesmaids, Mr. H. Biggin responding on their behalf in an able manner ; Mr N. Shaddick also responded on their behalf. The health of the bride's parents was next proposed by Mr Webb, an old friend of the family, who spoke in highest terms of the sterl-ing qualities of both Mr and Mrs Biggin's hospitable and generous dispositions, and of the good they had done in the district. Mr Biggin suitably responded. The health of the bridegroom's parents was next proposed, and responded to by Mr. J. Shaddick, junr. After the reception the happy couple left by motor for Perth, where the honeymoon was spent, the bride travel-ling in a very pretty apricot-colored crepe de chine dress, relieved with oriental trimming on the bodice, and wearing a black georgette and lace hat, trimmed with gold braid and frosted grapes.
