Raised in New York City, she graduated from Bennington College in 1952 and later earned a M.A. in English Literature from San Francisco State. Married and later divorced from James Morrison, she married Felix Warburg in 1966 and gave birth to their only child, Matthew, in 1969.

"Active in many Jewish organizations and groups, Sue had a passion for researching Jewish history, and in the early 1980's founded San Francisco Jewish Landmarks Tours along with her husband Felix, which led tours about Jewish History in Northern California, Santa Fe, the Southeastern United States, Pittsburgh, and France. Along with her husband Felix, she developed and curated the exhibit "Pioneer Jews of New Mexico", which ran at the Palace of the Governors in Santa Fe from 2000-2005. Among her many other occupations were actress, model, dancer, teacher, and publicist, and she had a passion for travel, reading, hiking, good movies, good food, and above all, good company.

"A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, May 12th at 6:30pm in the Guild Hall of Temple Emanu-El. In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Council of Jewish Women would be kindly appreciated."
