MICHIGAN Hemingway's sister dies PETOSKEY - Madelaine Hemingway Mainland Miller, younger sister of Ernest Hemingway who was known by the nickname "Sunny," has died. She was 90. Miller died Saturday at her home in Petoskey. The fourth of six children born to Dr. and Mrs. C.E. Hemingway of Oak Park, 111., she had lived in Michigan since 1952. Ernest and Madelaine Hemingway spent many childhood summers in the family cottage on nearby Walloon Lake. The region's scenery and residents inspired a number of the author's early short stories
