Daniel Wright married Cecilia Anne Broughton October 12, 1869 at St. Andrews, Fife. She died in Kathmandu, Nepal, February 1873. Their infant son Alexander died in Kathmandu in June 1873.

Daniel Wright married Gertrude Henrietta Rivers Sullivan 2nd quarter 1877, marriage registered in Thanet, Kent.
