Old Family Bible, was in the possession of IRA GLAZIER... RE: William Glazier... Md. "Martha" Wilder, 1728. According to the notes in the Family Bible, in posession of a descendant of his grandson, Ira-5 Glazier, the wife's name was "Suza Whitney"; ("Suza" appears as the name of Silas-4's wife). William Glazier bought land at Brimfield from Josiah Whitney in 1735, when both were of "Willington". A closer study of Land Records might show a connection not indicated in the poor "Whitney" genealogical records. In 1728 William received a gift of 23 acres at Lancaster from his father. In 1730 he sold it and bought land from his father in 1732, but apparently moved soon thereafter to Willington, Conn. He was a Tax Collector there in 1741. Their oldest of 12 children, Wm., was born in Lancaster, the others were born in Willington, Conn.
