Susanna "Susan" Nel (1965 - 2013)

Brief overview:

Susan (47), from The Reeds, in Centurion, was shot dead when a group of males fired shots through the driver's side window of her car.

Susan and her husband Nico (51), went to Phillips Cafe on the corner of Panaroma and Yelande streets to buy wood for the braai. They climbed into their car and started driving when they saw the group of men. The men started running behind the vehicle. One of the men fired a shot, the bullet missed Nico but hit Susan in the back of her head.

Nico rushed to the Rooihuiskraal Medical Center with Susan, after which she was taken by ambulance to Sunninghill Hospital. She passed shortly afterwards.
