Born about 1670-75 (estimated, based on son Churchill's b. d. of 1691), she was a daughter of Col. William Churchill by his first wife Mary. She is identified as just Susannah in the known records (no record of an original source for her first name being Catherine but it is traditionally reported that way). She has been reported to be one of at least 2 daughters William had by Mary. The other most frequently cited sister being Sarah. But neither birth nor christening are recorded in the Parish Register for William and Mary's children. (variations in spelling require careful, repeated searching)
From her grandson Thomas's Bible records:
"Churchill Blakey son of Thomas and Susanna Blakey was born Mch. 30, 1691."[1]
Her husband is Thomas Blakey.
Thomas Blakely was born in New Kent, Virginia, British Colonial America about 1664. He is the founder of the Blakey line in the Virginia Colony. He married Catherine Susannah Churchill on 04 October 1686 in Christ Church, Middlesex, Virginia. After his wife's death in 1715, Thomas married Mary Meacham (1664-1742). Thomas died on 17 May 1732 in Christ Church, Middlesex, Virginia.[1]
