About Susannah Hudgens

Susannah Tucker Hudgens, wife of William D. Hudgens. Daughter of Revolutionary War Soldier William Wofford Tucker, and Nancy Lee Tucker of Casey County, Kentucky. The Tucker and Lee family roots are in Virginia. Susannah was the mother of at least 12 children, including Frances Hudgens Wilson Allen Malone of Phelps County, Missouri.

Susannah Tucker Hudgens shares a 4-sided monument in this cemetery with inscriptions of her son, D T (Dabney Tucker) Hudgens and 2 of his wives and several of his children. The monument is aged, and a piece of the top is broken off and laying on the ground. The broken piece is the photo used to depict Susannah's resting place. It appears several family members are resting in the same plot marked by the large monument. It is not known whether Susannah orignally had her own headstone.

Temporary markers have been placed to memorialize William D Hudgens and his wife Susannah Tucker Hudgens in this cemetery. It should be NOTED- there is transcription error on one of the temporary markers- it should read Susannah Tucker Hudgens (not Nancy!) and it is definitely an error.
