Susannah Jones

Susannah Williams has little historical information. Her father probably was James WIlliams. She was born in Wales in 1717.

In 1725 Susannah signed the confession of Faith at a Welsh Tract Baptist Church meeting. On 2 May 1741 she was baptized as a member of the Welsh Tract Baptist Church.

On the same day, 2 May 1741, Susannah married James Jones.

They couple lived in Pencader Hundred of New Castle county.

James & Susannah had 10 children, they were:

6. Susannah, 1742-1812, marr. John James, 2 children

7. Esther, 1752-1800 DE, never married

8. Daniel, 1754-1832 OH, marr. Mary Alston, 11 children

9. Abel, 1757-1831 PA, marr. Margaret Lewis, 5 children

10. Margaret, 1760-1826 DE, marr. Isaac Menough

An early Morgan-Jones history states that James & Susannah are buried in the Welsh Tract Church Cemetery. Today there are no markers for them
