Swan Nilsson Nordstrom was born Sven Nilsson Svensson but apparently changed his last name to his Father's when he emigrated to Amerika. Also his birth year is one year off, the birth record from Sweden reflects his birth as the 9th of March 1837

Note have death cert from vital records in Lincoln, NE, father and mother listed as unknown, first name listed as Sven on death cert and listed as Swan on wife's death cert., last name was orginally Svensson, was changed to Nordstrom, in nordstrom family history records I found his name was Sven at birth, he attended school in sweden until 15, then he was a farm hand until 1870 when he immigrated he lost his leg working for the railroad, then he had a wooden one a newspaper article from Ceresco paper informs us that while attending services at the Ceresco Mission Church Swan was struck with paralysis, he could neither speak nor hear. He died a short while later.
