Sylvanus Wilber[1] was born in Little Compton, R.I. in 1783 and came from Little Compton, with Isaac Wood and Philip Irish. They sailed by sloop across Long Island Sound and up the Hudson, and the latter two settled on Salt Point Road.[2] He married Catalyntie Schryver in 1808. He died July 6, 1867,[3] and is buried in the Crum Elbow Friend's Meeting Ground cemetery.
