- "Miss Brewster was educated at the Brearley School in this city and the Foxcroft School, in Virginia. She was introduced to society in New York two years ago and was presented at one of the courts at Buckingham Palace last June. Miss Brewster is a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Brewster of this city and Cazenovia, N. Y. She is a niece of Mrs. Oliver Gould Jennings and of George S. Brewster of this city, and the sister of Miss
- "Phyllis Brewster...On her maternal side Miss Brewster is a granddaughter of the late Grenville Tremain of Albany; a great-granddaughter of Judge Lyman Tremain of Albany and of Enos T. Throop Martin of Willowbrook, governor of New York. Her aunt, Miss Emily Tremain is now staying at the family mansion on Owasco Lake."
