Tech Sgt, US Army, World War II 92nd bombardment 8th Air Force. Son of William and Anna M. McClenning.
McCLENNING, Leo T Sgt.; born Jan. 25, 1911 near Alsey. At age 2 moved to Patterson, entered service June 29, 1943.
He was an engineer top turret gunner on a B-17 flying fortress in the 92nd bombardment 8th Air Force. Killed over Germany Jan 1, 1945.
Was brought back in his plane and buried in a Military Cemetery at Ambridge England, until removed to U.S. for reburial.
Mrs. Bernard Bowman, Mrs. Naomi Coaker, and Miss Lucille Dawdy sang and casket bearers were Orville Lovelace, George and Lowell Owdom, Buell McCool, George Thornton and Howard Forrester all WWII Vets.
Represented in White Hall Cemetery War Memorial by a white cross.
