About Temple Bowdoin
Temple Bowdoin (July 14, 1863 – December 2, 1914) was an associate of J.P. Morgan & Company who was elected a member of the New York Stock Exchange in 1909. He was born at Wolfert's Dell, Irvington, New York, and graduated from Columbia University in 1885. His father, George Sullivan Bowdoin, was a partner in Drexel, Morgan & Co., who died in January 1913. His mother was a descendant of Moses Grinnell, formerly the Collector of the Port of New York.
