Daughter of Miles Logan Yount and Catherine Hefner; sister of Reuben, Angeline and Lydia J. She married Logan Govan Massey in North Carolina, where their first two children were born: Mary Pearl and Claud Marshall; Their third child, Garland Lester, was born in Arkansas, but while they were still in Arkansas, Pearl died. They moved from Arkansas to Erath County, Texas, where Thurman Esker, Lee Roy and Katie Ruth were born. Turley passed away in the family home in Erath County, ten years after her husband.
