About Thankful-Louise Thérèse le Grain
Captured in the 1702 Deerfield Massacre and Kidnapping.
Remained in Canada Being a child in Puritan New England, especially a girl, was not that encouraging. Many young people stayed in Canada -- some as Indians, some as French -- and raised their families there.
