Growing up I thought Thelma's birthday was in November but I have found her birth certificate and it clearly states October 28th, 1919. She always celebrated on November 27th, around Thanksgiving. Through my research, I discovered that her first son was stillborn within just days of her birthday. She never told about of us about this son or about her son Jerry who was less than 2 yrs old and while her husband was a POW in WWII. Knowing what we do now I feel like she was in too much pain to talk about any of this and that losing her 1st son so close to her birthday she changed when she celebrated it. Telling her birthday was a month later than it was to separate it from a very painful time in her life

Missing information: Marriage record to Darrell Moore and her divorce from Frank.

Information from Sherry her step daughter from her marriage to Darrell Moore " Daddy was born August 27, 1924......I have no idea when he and Thelma got married...I was 7 when Daddy went down and picked me up in LA.....so that would have been in '54 and he was living in the top half of a house around the corner from the Magnolia house, he and I were there for awhile, not long, Thelma did drive over there once and ran over one of my puppies, we did not have a good beginning...lol..I'm thinking they got married right around then, but don't know the date....she was working waitressing at Bill Wong's Chinese restaurant in Modesto and Namer took care of me after school.....
